The exquisite quality of human existence is not merely its physical form but its mental, emotional and intellectual capabilities. The physical body functions at the command of the mind. But this mind holds within itself six emotions/vices or Shadripu as they are known. These are: Kaama ( lust), Krodha(anger), Lobha(desire), Moha(intoxication), Mada(arrogance), Matsara(jealousy).
As long as our mind controls these vices, all is good but when it is unable to do that, these Shadripu-s become the ruthless rulers.
