PadmaPatra - an Evolution is a Bharatanrityam solo production conceived and choreographed by Ramya Venkataraman. PadmaPatra is inspired from the the verse in Bhagavad Gita - brahmaṇyādhāya karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ lipyate na sa pāpena padma-patram ivāmbhasā which is translated as : Those who dedicate their actions to God, abandoning all attachment, remain untouched by sin, just as a lotus leaf is untouched by water. In the transformation of PadmaPatra to the glorious Padma, the most precious practice is that of detached attachment. This production will embody that journey of lotus bud through the 5 spheres.
