Madhavi

'Madhavi' - the lesser-known story of an extraordinary woman from the Mahabharatha, and her relentless fight for her freedom of choice. Based on the original poem 'Swayamvaram' by Jnanpith Laureate and celebrated Malayalee poet ONV Kurup. This production, which premiered at Soorya Festival (2023), is a confluence of Bharatanatyam, Malayalam poetry, and dance-theatre. Choreography by Vidhya Subramanian, original musical score by Bhagyalakshmi Guruvayoor, and concept and script by Amritha Jayakrishnan.
