Mohiniyattam, a classical dance from Kerala, epitomises grace, elegance, and the rich cultural heritage of the region. The extensive research conducted by Guru Nirmala Paniker into the indigenous customs and cultural history of Kerala has greatly contributed to the revival of some of the lost repertoire of Mohiniyattam. Her creation, Desi Mohiniyattam, is a unique repertoire that beautifully encapsulates Kerala's culture, traditions, ecology, and imagery. Desi Mohiniyattam vividly brings to life the state's diverse cultural elements, from traditional rituals and folklore to the natural landscapes, making Mohiniyattam a living canvas that celebrates the essence of Kerala.
